Roses are Black, Violets are Blue

Should Never crave the Rose"

Well, it is here once again.  Those who know me, expect dark, lovely, luring vampire music & images
celebrating this eventless day.  Alas! I choose to celebrate love ❤️ of family & friends!  On both I am blest.
The historical book club thing dissolved mainly do to death of my grandsons grandma.  Death & Birth are morality markers as one ages, as well, triggers unresolved issues.  Supporting the young man during his first such life event was what we both! needed that day.

Therese Anne Fowler

This was the chosen read for the historical fiction book club, and I enjoyed every page!
Zelda has been painted in ways, far removed from the REAL Zelda.  This author, Therese Anne Fowler & Zelda were meant to meet on paper to show the Real women, who played her part in
F. Scott's Fitzgerald's Fable.
I found the most interesting read was about the author ( yes! Remembered my rule!). She was married young, had two children and found herself divorce at 30 .   Although Zelda never divorced Fitzgerald,  it was about that time the party, flapping & glitter had faded.  Zelda had a child & realized another would not be possible.
As well the author's mother & Zlda's mother both died the same way, same day but years apart.
The author felt a pull to Zelda and after our author put herself through college for a literary degree
set to write about Zelda, the girl, the daughter, sister, writer, artist and dancer as well as F.Scott Fitzgerald 's muse, backbone & cheerleader to the end!
Zelda suffered later with what we finally call by-polar disorder.  Reading how this was treated, diagnosed and controlled by the MEN enrages me just typing this.
Zelda maintained her southern, charm & dignity through it all, regrets of failing as a mother,
supporting a narcissist to her end.

I am very happy to see authors like Theresa and others digging through & piecing together the buried, barely there, FACTS on famous women in history.  Not only whitewashed, but gender elimination.

I highly recommend this novel, for many, many reasons, mostly it is well worth your time!

This authors next book is. A Well Behaved Women". Alva Vanderbilt   The family ruled the Gilded age in New York

The title alone gives me a Harley Quinn Grin!  I most know more!
